Far from the Shallow

I created this “Far from the Shallow”- series while being housebound during the worldwide pandemic lockdown, and had to use whatever materials I had in my studio (hence the psychedelic-coloured scratchboards 😉

While trapped in a current situation, one often forgets to look at the opportunities and beauty that arises when faced with new challenges. We push our limits and grow a little – letting go of the shallow. However daunting this might seem, the reward of this new adventure could be significant, and you get to rediscover yourself, your situation, and your surroundings. The water signifies movement, life, and change, juxtaposed against the unknown darkness. It is only scary because we do not know what it holds, but there is always spectacular beauty to be found during this universal pause.
