The Road to Healing

Today I am exceptionally thankful that I am healthy, happy and being able to pursue my God-given talent and passion full time. As most of you know, I have an auto-immune disease (I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Axial Spondyloarthritis) and have lived in excruciating pain on a daily basis for the past four years. Despite being on anti-infamatory and other pills, I still couldn’t even get out of bed some days, and it has severely restricted my activities, most importantly my love for hiking, and really made me hold back on many fronts.

Ever since, I have been at the mercy of Rheumatologists and doctors, which – looking back – have just wasted my money and time and made me sicker in the process with all the chemicals. They just weren’t willing to take the time to see if they could make my situation better in a way that is sustainable, starting with something light, or less detrimental to my body, and work from there. Every single one of them told me that it can not be cured, and treated the symptoms with various over-the-top medications that ranged from cortezone to stronger medication that literally poisoned me. Most of the medications had severe side effects, and I thought that this was going to be my life now. Quite depressing.

Until a month ago.

After new medication knocked me into bed for over a week, and made my pain so unbearable that I couldn’t sleep, walk and barely had energy to talk, I have decided that this doctor will kill me if I don’t intervene immediately, so I stopped ALL medication immediately. Within 24 hours I could breathe normal again, my pain subsided and I was able to get up. (I already have a very complicated relationship with doctors as you know 😉

That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and went to a very accomplished Holistic Natural Healer that same day. She is an Iridologist, Embriologist, Reflexologist and Nutritionist, published books and changed many lives . After analyzing my eyes, my blood (which gave me a huge fright, seeing it on the screen like that) and working on my feet (a three hour process in total), she told me that my body will be able to heal itself with the correct food, and food only. I was very sceptic, but decided that I have nothing to loose, so I would give it a go.

Well, all I can say is that my life has done a 180! Today marks a month since I have started to just cut out food that is bad for me (including mostly sugar, all preservatives and MSG’s), and I have been completely pain free since. I started hiking again and it feels as if I have a new lease on life!!!

It is still a long process, but I believe that in time I will heal completely, and I urge everyone to first try looking after your body in a more holistic, natural way. We are too used to being pumped full of chemicals, when you can actually have your best life living natural and healthy. Of course there are serious things that you have to go to a doctor to. I will forever be grateful to the doctor who rebuilt my hand after a major accident, but I feel that chronic medicine never heals (the name says it!), buy only mask the symptoms, when the cause is really easily fixable. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more about this.
